The design concept of biological restaurant ‘Bar Kantoor’ (‘Bar Office’) at Conscious Hotel Westerpark is a juxtaposition of office, nature and science elements.

Its large central bar has been made of up-cycled office drawers and the ten handmade ‘wonder cabinets’ (‘the Microcosmos Series) on the walls have been handmade of discarded materials.

The vertical vegetable garden in the lounge area is a unique aquaponics wall, of which the vegetables, herbs and fish are all part of the restaurant menu.
As far as we know, this is the first aquaponics wall in the world to be built as part of an interior concept.

The Library Room connects restaurant ‘Bar Kantoor’ with ‘Conscious Café’. The large ‘Wonder-Cabinet’ is filled with vintage books and decorative elements, referring to nature, science and art.
